It's all about the choices
I was excited about getting out of that plateau and seeing the pounds fall off again, so much so that I went a step further, I meal prepped for the entire family! Meal prepping is a tool that helps to take the guess work out and allows you to have a better chance for success. I have meal prepped for myself before, but my husband and I did it for the entire family. That was some work, but worth it. We prepared meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. ***Side note: One thing about me, I am my happiest when everybody wins! I help others all the time, but I can't forget about my own family!***
In life, everyone has choices, but does everyone have the tools they need to make the best choices for themselves? And sometimes, you may have the tools, but you have something else in your life that is hindering you from using those tools. For example, the tools that I am talking about, in this instance, is the knowledge that I have as a nurse about the importance of a healthy diet and exercise. But in the past I got so busy that on most days I would pick up fast food on the way home from work. Use food for reward and to deal with some of the woes of life.
Have you ever thought that maybe we need to think of food as fuel instead of using it for all these other reasons? But once you choose to do better, make a plan and stick to it!
During this pandemic, it seems like I am much busier, but I recognize the importance of diet and exercise. I have a plan and I am going to stick to it. But for my journey to losing 40 pounds in 2021 and with any other goal, it comes down to one question,
How Bad Do You Want It?
